Tale from the Far Territory - "Repairing radio broadcasting systems"
There a reason behind repairing the radio broadcasting systems at the airport? After reading the note left behind on the control board, it seems to me (or at least I feel that); if I fix all the transmission towers throughout the world, it'll allow me to open a communication link with actual NPC people in the game. Is this true?

It will allow you to use the handheld radio to find hidden stashes through the world. There is no NPC in the game yet- the Trader has not been added to the game yet. We don;t know if we will need to have the transmitters repaired to contact the Trader when they are added to the game.
Again, there are *no* NPCs in Survival Mode yet. Just you and your handheld radio.
I can't grab that hand held off the control board. What must I do to be able to take possession of it? And thank you for your help.

Did you read the nearby note yet? I am pretty sure you need to read the note first.

The one about "WE'RE LEAVING" or,
the one about the towers in the lower island?

I don't see anything about taking the portable walkie talkie. Must I travel to other locations of the lower island to, get this all working? I'm willing to make the journey with, some helpful wisdom.

Did you actually pick up the notes and keep them? Or did you choose "Leave it"? You need to keep the note(s). That is how you get the radio- when you pick up and red the note right next to the radio "Take It". The radio should appear in your hand. If you are taking the note and the radio does not automatically appear in your hand, you have a bug.
Nothing personal- but you know there are dozens of videos on YouTube and Twitch showing how it works, and it is explained on the Fandom Wiki in detail. Like in Story Mode- you need to take and keep all notes and quest items. They weigh nothing- there is no reason to leave them behind.

Okay thank you, I had absolutely no idea. (As far as YouTube and reading stuff already posted elsewhere); I prefer a social gathering approach. People these days are too fond of conveniences whereas, I like to actually have a conversation with people (the old way). But, I do appreciate the heads up. This is why I am here ;)

Yeah, sorry. I wasn't sure if you were just missing a step, or if you were experiencing a bug (since the game has been really buggy since the big December update).
But what you need to do is clear now, I hope?

We shall see! I already found a time capsule (cache) just outside the airport. Would be pretty neat if the survival mode had an actually mission tied to it. Fixing transmission towers and something tied in to it.

Hope this isn't a Hijack. With regards to OTHER radio Broadcast systems. For example: BlackRock. **Is there any value repairing it now ?**
It wasn't part of the initial quest sequence and I just came across it. I am assuming it will have some caches and perhaps even story line associate with it. The reason for my question is I dont want to repair it now and then next DLC have to search for parts again as it died. I did that with FM and carrying a battery from a nearby zone was not fun.

I have focused more on Story Mode so, I don't know much about Survival Mode. What I can say is, "They need to add quests to Survival Mode" (to make it more interesting."
