Ash Canyon, Gold Mine, and Curator's Rifle

Hello all, on my first run through since the big update/change.

I'm doing my Ash Canyon run to the Gold Mine. I thought I'd look for the Curator's Rifle along the way. I know there's five spawn location possibilities, and three of them - the two by Wolfjaw, and the one by the mine's waterfall - did not have the rifle. That leaves two possible spawn points: High Meadow, and Runaway Bridge.

I am pretty confident I can explore the High Meadow location. But looking at a map, I'm unsure if i've ever been to Runaway Bridge. Admittedly, Ash Canyon confuses me, and gives me the most trouble out of all the maps.

I'm still at the Gold Mine. To get back to Timberwolf, I usually take the route that takes me by Foreman's Retreat. But is there a different route that allows me to check the Runaway Bridge on my way back?

Basically you can walk turn a big circle around the map. You start at the entrances, hold leftwise up to the mine and after it you can go rightside. You need two ropes, one by the Homesteader's Respite to go down (or again up after) and another one you will need for the runaway bridge. As you can see on the map at High Meadow are two ropes to go down. Use them, hold left (west) and place the rope there to go down to the runaway bridge.

So if you still in the mining camp i recommended to go right-wise as mentioned above. There are many usable items underway and yes of course the needed ropes. I never had a rope by entering the map and there was enough ropes to find.

If you confused where to go from the mining camp; Go up, hold eastwise to the Wolf's Jaw Overlook, go over the three bridges down to the Miner's Folly. From there is only one legacy way without jumping down the rockes and it will lead you to High Meadow and/or Homesteader's Respite.

Unfortunately, I didn't see your message until after I had climbed down to the Climbers Cave Plateau. I hauled two sets of rope from the Gold Mine, but left one at Foreman's, and tied the other down at Homesteader's. The Curator's rifle wasn't at the High Meadow spawn point, which leaves Runaway Bridge - if it spawns at all.

I'm basically all out of coffee, so I didn't want to risk climbing back up to High Meadow and then back to Foreman's, then back down (and that bear is alarmingly comfortable with hanging out right in front of Foreman's). I have a sleeping bag, but i've had terrible luck with weather on this save. Blizzards have almost killed me 4 or 5 times already, and that's on maps with supposedly mild weather.

I billygoated down to Angler's and figured if I lucked out and found some coffee there, I could go under Runaway Bridge, and climb up the ropes on the other side and get to it that way? But no luck on the coffee. So I'm going to go back to TWM, stash my loot, re-up on coffee, and try to reach Runaway from the West side this time. I really hope the rifle is there.

In case anyone else is looking for this spawn point, though I'm guessing I'm the last person on this board to know this:

From Angler's, I went West into the canyon (not the one with Runaway Bridge above it), and looped around and found a rope up. Climb up, then, before you are about to cross the actual bridge, look to your left. There's a gap in the rock you can crouch and walk through. Once you're through, continue to the fallen tree that crosses over to another smaller plateau. I was sure I was going to fall off that fallen tree and die, lol.

Once you're across, loop around near a ledge and find a shallow cave with a leaf "bed" in it. That's where the rifle spawned for me.
