How can you tell if the dlc is working ?

I bought it , got a download and started a new game after getting the new menu but theres nothing in game that tells me im playing the dlc version ? Or at least nothing obvious

I started at a random location and got TWM and cleared the whole thing last night , i hope i wont have to start a new game xD

Help ?

Before you can see it on map or spawn into it, you need to first find it.
The entrance is in Broken Railroad.

The DLC is baked into Survival Mode.
You cannot spawn into the new region the first time you play with the DLC installed- you have to find your way there and discover the new transition zone and new region. On your next save, a new section of the map will open, allowing you to spawn directly into the new area, if you choose.
Be warned- it is harsh- like Bleak Inlet x 3 weather, lots of empty space you have to traverse to find shelter in the airfield area, and the new Insomnia affliction. Get kitted out with the warmest clothing you can, and take food and drink- you will need both while you find your way around.

Before that- in the old regions- you will find the new rifle variants ad the new bow variant- they are rare, not all over the place. And they are hidden in really weird places- fun to explore the old maps again to see if you find any of them.

Good luck, and be prepared to have a fun and challenging time the first few times you go to the new region and learn your way around.

So i started a new save directly on broken railroad to go check . there is indeed a transition zone there . this means that i should have it in my main save aswell right ?

I want to go to ash canyon , HRV and do all that before i check the new maps . it would be so sad to get there and see that i dont have it xD

If you found the new transition zone, you have the new region. You have to go through the transition zone to get there.

yeye i know how it all works with TLD thanks for being super careful like that tho haha but i hit my 1000 days on loper a long time ago

i just didnt want to waste time prepping and getting all i need only to find theres no dlc map in my world ^^

you know , like having a small indicator that tells you the dlc is on . same as we have the difficulty symbol when you hit Esc . something like that

Look up in the top left corner of the new main menu page- it will say DLC up there, letting you know the DLC is installed.
Again- if you have the transition zone, you have FA too.

If the DLC menu let's you enter the menu and it doesn't redirect you to a purchase steam window, that's the key as always
