Hunter's Revolver: No proper Iron Sights?
Just picked up the Hunter's Revolver, completing my collection. It's my least favourite out of all of them, despite having the coolest furniture. It's sight picture is horrible, as both sight posts block each other. The original Revolver's sight picture is the best. I was expecting a fine tuned, "hunting style", sight setup that is better than the original, but you can barely line up effective shots with the hunter's revolver.

I really hope they tweak this, I know it's a nitpick. I can understand why they might have done this, to ensure that all of the revolvers handle slightly differently, but of all the things to change, the sight picture makes the least sense. I think it would be great if the Hunter's Revolver had a old-fashioned scope of some kind, although I know that goes against TLD's modus operandi.

I hope they, at the very least, change the sights so you can make effective shots on the one revolver that is, lore wise, meant to be effective for shooting live game.

I hope hinterland sees this. Please fix.

i've only found the wardens revolver so far but the same goes for that one, ironsights are way worse than the normal revolver. it might be worth it for the weight reduction and looking way cooler though

I found the hunter's revolver after scouring AC for the Curator's rifle to no avail. I saw one post on reddit that showed that the spawning of the AC prepper cache with hunter's revolver may interfere with the spawning of the Curator's rifle. I did indeed find the hunter's revolver, and no Curator's rifle spawned in any of the 5 spawn points. One by the rosehip path north of wolf head overlook had a regular rifle next to the corpse.

After finding the hunter's revolver, I'm so disappointed with the iron sights. Why two single posts inline? This may seem to non-firearms people to be more precise, but its not, in practice. This is not a good design. Iron sights work by lining up the top of the front post w the rear ("equal height"), thus lining up the barrel on the vertical axis, and keeping the front post centered in the rear sight ("equal light"). With two posts in line, in theory, you can line up the barrel, but the rear sight post will occlude the front sight post, particularly when its higher than the front sight. Similarly, its easier visually to center a post with equal negative space on each side than to line two posts together horizontally.

If you wanted to make the hunter's revolver look like its supposed to be accurate at distance, you probably want to go with a finer front post so it occludes less of the target at distance, and narrow the rear sight post so you're comparing smaller gaps of negative space to each other. Alternatively, you could use a peep sight with a rear peep and fine front post.

+1 for sights and being able to see what you are aiming at. IRL there are no effective weapons that cannot be aimed with great precision. Not that most handguns fall into that category but there are some.

I finally collected all the variants and I don't plan on using any of them. They are just to inaccurate without a rear sight. Not sure why they did that. All the rifles work great.

The Warden's pistol seems to be quick to aim. I haven't used it yet so I can't say how good it is but it seems like it would be good for last minute last ditch defense against wolves.
