Need gun cleaning equipment

I'm in Mountain town and I can't find the firearm cleaning equipment does any one known where I can find it? Is there any other way to clean a gun.?

I'm playing survival. what do you mean workshop? and whats BI and BRM

BI is Bleak Inlet and BRM is Blackrock. two regions where you can find a special ammo bench to craft more ammo from your old casings and a milling machine to repair any too including firearms.
You will probably find a cleaning tool before going to these locations, I think locations are pretty much random.

Cleaning kits are random spawns. You have a much greater chance of finding them in workshop-type areas (usually where a workbench is), places where hunters would hang out (some caves, hunting blinds), anywhere where guns can spawn, and industrial areas.

As mentioned before, you can trek to Bleak Inlet or Blackrock Mountain and find a milling machine there. It repairs any metal item for scrap metal and it repairs a large percentage based on your repair skill. It's only active during auroras.

Firearms only degrade when you fire them. I've never used a firearm to 0% but I assume that it permanently breaks like everything else. So, make sure to keep an eye on the durability and don't let it get to 0%. That being said, rifles aren't exactly rare and pistols are more common than rifles so if your gun breaks, you'll probably have no problem replacing it unless it's one of the unique rifles that the expansion added.

I have both the pistol and the Rifle with plenty of ammo. I started in Mystery lake. I always find the cleaning gear somewhere there but not this time,
There are more places I can try in MT. I'v been to the town and church a farm nothing.
I did find a small place east and north of the church it had a work bench but no cleaning kit.
There's a couple of more places I can try before trekking to Blackrock. The problem is i'm running out of flares.

I decided to leave Mountain town. I'm going to Hushed river valley that's if the wolfs don't get me. The only other choice is Forlorn muskeg. no way i'm going there!
In other games I found the gun repair kit at Mystery lake at the trappers homestead.
I think I found it there a couple of times.
I'm playing a custom game too. I set it so the wolfs spawn far away.
doesn't seem to help much.

I'm playing custom Loper w/o guns and have tons of cleaning kits (approx. 12 for 5 regions) which is pretty annoying tbh.

its better to play voyager and mountain town is not a newbe friendly region. you ll be better in mystery lake and then plan to get to tiberwolf mountain to get to the summit. also playing normal game increase the progress on your feats, custom dont

and there is a couple of revolvers in interloper right now, probably a bug. I believe it sould be 1 in interloper in poor condition and some empty cases around the GB island so you can get it in the late game and it would be a good reason to visit BI or BLR. But cleaning kits and bullets is a bug and it sould be fixed...
