Ruined guts and Bear hide

I was at The Fishing Camp in CH and killed a bear. After putting the hide and guts in the cabin I returned ten day later. Both hide and guts are all ruined. I have reported this as a bug. Has anyone else have this issue?

Personally never seen that happen. At the fishing village I put hides and guts into a separate cabin, a habit I have, to cure and it should not matter if I left them in the cabin I was occupying.

Yes I did. But the guts are usable anyway.

I been wondering from time to time if I am the only one thinking about this! Must smell rather foul curing hides! Dont want that where I eat and sleep!

The four cabins at FC all are assigned for certain purposes. sleeping, curing, clothing and storage of tools.

You just dropped them on the floor right? Not put them in a container? Just asking to be clear. It's a tech support kind of thing I learned to do to get all the facts. :)

What I always do is go indoors or in a cave far from the entrance and drop the gut/ hide/ sapling on the floor/ ground.

Ok yes that is right thing to do. Must be in the back of a long cave where your warmth metre goes up which counts as indoor location, or inside a house. Sounds like you know that so it must be some bug.
Maybe try verify game files. I have never had this.

Neither have I until the DLC came out.

Every new update introduces bugs. It took me about 4 downloads and installs to get TLD to run after the DLC. Also I had to delete all mods and Melonloader.
It hurts to lose a Bear pelt.

No worries, Day 87 and I have 9 bear hides.

No worries, Day 87 and I have 9 bear hides.

You are a brave lad to take a shot at 9 bears. 10 since you lost one pelt. My hands start shaking as soon as I sight the gun on a bear. I can only do it if I have somewhere to run if I piss it off. Usually in my panic I forget to uncrouch and he gets me before my escape hatch.

Thank you, I am great with bears and wolves. I am terrible with a charging wolf.
