Gun location in Desolation Point

I rolled a random spawn in Desolation Point and this is my first time playing this map. I started out on Little Island and then have since made it to the Hibernia Processing plant. I have been thru the plant multiple times and haven't yet found the rifle or knife or hatchet. I have finally found the crow bar, hammer, and now hacksaw. I've been attacked twice by wolves and gotten hyerthermia.

I was wondering where the gun possibly spawns in the processing plant if it does at all. I may have missed it. I also need knife and hatchet. This map is kicking my a$$ to say the least! Thanks!

The knife and hatchett never spawn in the plant.You can make them on the Riken.There is a rifle in the plant- look hard at unusual paces.DP is hard for a beginner so you might think about the guides.

The only spot I've found rifle regulary in DP region is in the cave where Scruffy is. Talking about Stalker here.

As for the (lack of) knife and a hatchet, I think this is done on purpose since you have all of the ingredients available in the region for making tools using forge.

I can usually find a rifle (or at the very least a box of amo) in the processing plant. You will have to crawl (crouch and walk) up a pipe to a hidden level where someone has lived for a while in the plant. Check out all of the large pipes and crawl inside them and you'll locate it.

Yes, just went past the broken bridge and found the cave. Nice bonus, found the rifle and shells just in time to kille Fluffy-2. That was a nice find.

So.. go find a forge and make my own knife and hatchet? Ah, that's clever Devs! Thanks!

Haven't fount the church yet but have stocked up on meat from couple wolf kills now so I'll find it soon. It's damned cold at DP, tons of wolfies, and without a hatchet and knife it's hard. Luckily i found a gun and some ammo so far. Thx!

Just a little hint. Don't know if you have ever made hide clothing but crafting them with the forged knife and hatchet takes quite a bit more time. So if that is on your to do list while in DP plan accordingly. Think it took me 40 hours to make a wolfskin jacket.

Who are you responding to? It is definitely possible to find a rifle in the church, right by its actual entrance. I've found one there quite a few times.

oh sorry "wrong part" was meant to respond to person who said that hatchet and knife never spawn on deso map, as far comment for rifle is following, i think that part was clear, hope so.

I guess you meant on me? If yes, then I must apologize if I wasn't clear enough.

I never said it doesn't spawn at all. I said there is a "lack of" (shortage) tools. As in there are just a few spawned, as you already pointed out ("2x hatchet, no knife").

That's exactly what I've said and I completely agree with everything else you said. Especially with the "issue" of crafting arrows.
