I think the graphics / art style of this game is really good, atmospheric and fits quite well for this game. Aside from that, to me it's a great game and I'm enjoying it. :)

I finally bought the game in spite of the graphics. Was intrigued by the promos but just couldn't get past the graphic style. Bought the game June last year when it was on sale. Fell in love with the game and even more so with the graphics. Have been using a sreen shot of Trappers at twilight with snow falling or 9 or 10 months. If it had a better bathroom and kitchen I would buy the place,

Also, despite the fact that the graphics and overall design of the game are a huge part of the draw for people who love this game, what's wrong with outdated graphics?

Plenty of games have come out over the years that have retro inspired graphics even down to 8-bit style pixel art and have been wonderful games. Conversely, MANY games have top of the line and state of the art graphics and suck donkey dong.

Khm... Then could you be so kind and play TLD some more THEN write a real Review?

If you played the game only for one hour it can only be a First Impression not a full fledged Review.

Also, correct me if I'm wrong but a real Review also takes into account other parts of the game such as: gameplay, sound, story (pun intended:), game mechanics, etc.

Judging a game only by it's graphics is idiotic :)

Oh and a side note - This is Steam Early Access game, so tehnically speaking it's not a full game yet, so wait for its release for your final verdict.

Maybe by then it will be fotorealistic/real life Canada/simulator/survival/virtual reality game (that you want it to be)

@OP Have you thought that the lousy graphics might be at your end and not the game itself? Because, you see, the graphics at my end are perfectly good, blooming lovely, choice and couldn't be bettered - in fact my TLD is positively yummy - imo

Was not intended as a drive by. I made the mistake of thinking I was leaving a review. I wanted to start the review as a 1st impression then add to it. I am liking the game at this point dont even notice the graphics

I really loved firewatch. I did not care for the cartoony look in that game but it was a lot nicer looking then this one.
