the game saves when you enter an area or sleep/nap. (to save just nap for an hour or enter a house)
Before it was really just apocalypse now anytime she went to 99% condition, telling me she is about to die. No you are not. Solved.
Your overall condition may be at 99% but what exactly is it that she was complaining about? Might be worth checking to make sure that she doesn't need a drink or something.
I find the voice quite useful, especially on a long journey it can be easy to neglect having a drink of water or keeping an eye on the warmth-meter, with the voices on they will politely remind you in case you didn't notice something.
Now i liked TLD from beginning and it was not like this before. And optimal strategy here is not to keep everything all the time at 100% given the how long can you survive premise so it only makes sense to shut the nagging off since i rarely want to be at 100%.
So, yes, after you've gotten the hang of it, it's probably a little bit pointless unless you like the voices. New players might find it handy until they get used to what to pay attention to. So what I do is just turn off the voice or turn it down super low and I have the captions on so I can still see what she's saying JUST in case it's something imoprtant or something I somehow overlooked. The bright yellow text it uses is pretty hard to miss, so I like it.
Will try captions, also good idea but really i dont see what could i miss as all the key parameters have simbols and condition is there.
I find typically my character will only complain he is close to death when he drops below ~30%
