Somewhere in Mistery lake and somewhere in Pleasant Valley. :steammocking:

In Mistery Lake in the hill in front Camp Office, after the railroad tracks.
In Pleasant Valley, in the hill in front/left of rope climb for Signal hill.
But remember that bunkers are random in each game, may are there, may not.

It is RNG defined whether a bunker will be weapon type or wood type or tool type. Location also changes every new run.

Is it different than the prepper cache in PV?

Lenny Rat, Prepper's Abandoned Cache near the rope to TWM is in every run and experience mode in Survival.

The "Weapons Bunker" that OP is talking about is one of several possible "kinds" of bunkers that can be found on two maps, ML and PV. There are around 8 or 9 possible locations for a bunker to spawn on each map, but only one will spawn (on each map). Its location will dictate what it contains inside in addition to a sort of standard set of stuff, you'll always find some food and water, for instance, but in the "Food" bunker you'll find a lot more food than in the others. In the Weapons Bunker you'll find at least one rifle and a bunch of ammo.

These bunkers do not appear in Interloper, but are present in the other three modes.

Do the bunkers in PV still exist? Its my second run on Stalker and Ive checked every possible location on that map but I cnat find any except for the one near said rope. In ML I do find bunkers easily.

I just found food cache by regular randomness.. but i somehow feel unlucky in that, I have so much food I have no use for it and it broke my heart to see it degrade to point I am afraid of poisoning.. would rather got different type that could be actually useful:/

I don't think the random prepper caches appear in Story mode. If the OP is in Story, then the best that can be done may be to look for containers at/near each encounter location where there may often be a round of ammunition and maybe a wound dressing. I think if you have the flare pistol, that can also count during an encounter.

Hmmm, has anyone ever used the flare pistol for the last encounter?

I understand, from watching others play, that there are couple of possible caches but these are not open caches like in survival mode. You need to fulfill the quest or entry conditions to enter them.

In Survival mode, there are 9 possible caches. 5 specialized ones (tool, medical, clothing, weapon, and wood). 4 food ones. ONLY one cache spawns in Mystery Lake and one in Pleasant Valley. There are 9 possible locations and the cache that spawns at a given location is always the same.

Yes. bear runs away into the fog some but comes back, I feel the rifle is needed to complete quest, I had no bullets when I tried this, might have changed as I only played story durring release and a few updates afterwards, not at that point of the game in current version.

He's all alone in the snow apocalypse, with no weapon, surrounded by hostile nature! I'd scream too xD

I find the food cache really useful, but only if I find it early on.

If you do find it early, it frees you from having to gather firewood and doing cooking for about 1 week. And this means you can instead explore, gather, craft and so on.

Basically, it helps me to set myself up for a successful run.

Also, all that food to cook and coffee and herbal tea... means you can level up your cooking skill much quicker if you want.

A French guy can't find a weapon bunker? lol. Is it too late or too early for some humorous WW2 references?

It's never too late/early for a friendly joke
