Shot deer ran off and dissapeared?
On the mystery lake, halfway from camp office to the tunnel. Shot a deer bleeding, followed him untill i saw a wolf. Had a fight with a wolf. Then tried to resume following deer's blood trail, but it vanished into thin air on a mountain slope.
I decided to follow wolf trail, which was quite succeseful. So i harvested wolf, brought back meat and returned to the start of the deer's trail... But there was no blood anymore...
I ran all the way to the tunnel surveying the area with charcoal, but foud nothing...
Did it dissapear because I stumbled wolf or because i returned home?
Might it be, that i just didnt find the carcass?
That sort of a bug?

The trail does disappear if you leave the general area. You probably just didn't find the carcass, but your best bet is to follow the crows. If you hear them making a racket, you're on the right track, most likely.

Also, if you enter a building before the animal bleeds out, the sequence will reset and the animal will "heal". No dead deer. Best bet is to always stay outside between 1 and 4 hours to be sure an animal has bled out. The amount of time needed for the bleed out is dependent on the damage you inflicted.

Has this changed recently? Because I've had animals bleed out while I'm inside, or when I pop in and out to grab something. I've sometimes had it stop, but I didn't think it was a sure thing.

It seems to be random. Sometimes it resets the animal, sometimes not.

Following crows noises is complicated, because tere is a frozen body nearby...

Maybe it's just me, but you should be able to differentiate different clusters of crows. If you hear multiple groups, follow the sounds to each group and check. Also, try going in the direction that the animal took off in, you may be able to hear the crows that way.
