CUSTOM GAME SETTINGS Day length Vs hunger/thirst/tiredness/temp settings
i just wanted to know if the health depletion rates are varied based on the set length of day.
in the past i have played games where my health bars deplete as slow as possible but after 30-40 days(maybe earlier, i havnt played in ages)and it kinda broke the game, made it incredibly easy and boring too after a while.
I wanted to set up a new save file with really long days (x3 or maybe x4), so i would have a lot of time to explore. but i also want a good balance of having to sleep and eat etc the right amout.
does anyone know if they scale with each other?

I don't enjoy the longer days, but my husband likes to play on 4x day length, and he says his needs deplete scaled to the day.night modifier. It scales all time-bound things like that, but the amount of in-game time it takes to cook something, or harvest/break down something or craft something remains the same.
Keep in mind your nights will scale also, and take longer to pass. Which is actually great, if you love to take Aurora screenshots. Horrible if you need to travel at night, or loot at night. It may make the "drudgery" factor scale up for you as well. at 4x, 1 in-game day will take 8 IRL hours. (not counting Passing Time).
Hope that makes sense.

I personally have found that the games I started at 4x time modifier were far too easy. It gives you a lot more time to move from place to place before the cold gets to you. I was experimenting with 2x and none/low condition recovery when the update dropped. It was looking like it was going to be a happy medium. My playtime is somewhat limited, so I haven't got back to finding the personal "sweet spot" in the custom settings, since I'm working through Archivist finally while I play with the revolver.

yeah after a few hours playing 4x i restarted with 2x instead, the game just seems to be balanced better this way
