Don't Starve, if you like the cartoony graphics, more supernatural element, and a bit more wry humor, would be more comparable IMHO. Possibly a bit more difficult and punishing in some aspects, easier in others. But the only one I can really say is a good comparison, since I have played both, and enjoy both.

Axes, guns, looting cupboards, chased by dogs, huge natural environment, hunting, cooking, hunger, no hand holding... its basically TLD only British.

/ added Skyrim link above b/c it makes me lol, survival via fork
btw, does Will, our hero, eat everything with his knife?...
Not evaluate the game as I dont know it, but pretty sure such visual art dont suit survival game in my book;)
Had very good time with Subnautica, but its survival aspects are not even close (damn good game otherwise)
Would say Dont starve is indeed very good as well, just I have it just in my index more like multiplayer game and the theme/art is not 100% my cup of tea.
As someone mention in other thread This war of mine is very good game as well that cna be considered as survival.
Played Fade to silence too - nice game with suriviving coldy conditions, lot of action combat with unnatural creatures and some other not realistic things, some bugs as it was recently released.. Nice and worthy to go through once though.
Subscribing to see other tips.
I suggest trying out Project Zomboid.
