Is it efficient to wear a Cowichan Sweater and Fisherman’s Sweater? I found both at start of new game on the coastal map.

I'd say no.

You'll lose whatever gains in warmth by being heavier and losing your energy faster. Thin wool sweater or a wool shirt seem to be better choices.

I disagree.

Cowichan Sweater + Fisherman Sweater is a great early game pickup. Cowichan is kinda like the equivalent of Gauntlets / Mukluks for the torso slot. Very rare to find. I would repair both to 100% and you will be very warm.

I do agree with you that 2x Fisherman Sweater is also an excellent gear choice for this slot. If the OP finds a Fisherman Sweater later, he could always switch to 2x Fisherman's Sweaters. But it's a marginal difference really. Like half a degree of temperature, 1% sprint, and a little bit of weight. But the weight difference is not much because clothing weight is reduced by like 25-30% when you wear it.

I would probably just stick with the Cowichan + Fisherman, but I would also probably reserve a spare Fisherman Sweater if I find an extra, just in case. It's always nice to have a backup.

Yes, the Cowichan sweater is the best mid-layer clothing item in the game. The fisherman's sweater is the second best I believe. They will be heavier than other clothing pieces but the warm you will get will be immense. So to answer you're question, if used with other clothing items that do not restrict mobility that much, then yes. (E.g. use mukluks instead of Ski Boots)

Yep, those are the two best sweaters in the game. I play a custom game with the weather on a combination of stalker and interloper settings, and findings those sweaters is one of the highlights of my early looting. Even on lower difficulty weather settings, they are excellent if you intend to spend a lot of time outside, especially at night.

I prefer the Fisherman's Sweater because it has the best warmth to weight ratio, but both are good to have.
