Good to know not to count on lighting a fire working to stop them now.
The question is: if this is by design, how on Earth I can kill it on Loper and not be smashed to bits?
EDIT: Blue flare doesn't work as well. Don't have a distress pistol atm, so can't test it.
Good luck
It was changed over a year ago, in the "Errant Pilgrim" (Bleak Inlet) update. Moose are no longer afraid of fires, but bears are (at least, I've heard bears are, haven't personally tested that)
Classic TLD.
Good thing I haven't had to try to use fire to deter a moose in basically forever. Not really an issue in Stalker Mode, but I can definitely see how this would be an issue for a Loper caught unawares.
You just became complacent.
We all do after we play this game for a long time, and get used to doing things a certain way.
Now I am curious if shooting a moose in the butt with an arrow is still an almost guaranteed one-shot... It's been a while since I actively hunted Moosen.
