Bear Spear in Survival?

Is it possible to use the "Legendary" spear in survival?

It isn't in Survival Mode, only in Story Mode.
Which is a bummer, but I think they have had issues with creating the animations for every animal you might use it against in Survival Mode, while in Story Mode it was only used in a scripted manner against the Old Bear.
Still hoping it gets added at some point.

It would lend more purpose to the forge if they were to add it to survival mode.

Thats what I was thinking too. Have a chance of finding it around the house of where it's supposed to be but is scattered around the map. I figured why not just use the same animations as old bear as well? Considering every bear is the same but just slightly bigger.

Also I've actually have used it in survival but it doesn't work, nor does it defend you against anything, As you said it's only used against scripted Old Bear. Doesn't even scare off wolves either. Just wanted to see what everyone else thought of it.

If you are using it in a modded game, you'll have to get hold of the mod author(s) and let them know it doesn't work. Unless it was just added with the Ep. 4 update and I missed it at the Forge in my current game, it is not available to craft or find in Survival Mode in an unmodded game yet.

never saw it in survival mode after Ep. 2 Redux was released. Possibly a bug I missed out on? Because it isn't in the game right now. Not sure what you mean by "ripped from Story Mode"- you're either talking about a bug, or a mod.

LMAO- yes. It is modifying the game files, which is what "mod" stands for.
Mod = modifying/modified.

I think adding in an atlatl would be pretty cool, but it would need to be very hard to use or it would make the bow irrelevant possibly. Just a spear without an atlatl doesn't make much sense to me since I think it would be pretty hard to pierce something without that extra leverage.
