So I wouldn't worry about bringing an extra rope. I would just try to be as lightweight as possible (don't bring excess food/water...) and make sure your hacksaw is in tip-top condition.
No prybar needed?
Damn, I'm actually getting quite nervous about it. I plan on stripping down my carry weight to the bare essentials. Only thing is, I don't know the way yet (don't tell me please), so I might be doing some searching in other areas before I actually find it and then I probably won't want to go back to my base and drop off excess gear. So do I bring hammer and flare in case of wolves, do I bring bow and arrow to secure food on the go?
This generally always happens to me when I plan on travelling light. I start thinking "but what if..." and before you know it, I'm carrying 30+kg again.
You'll want a weapon and a flare or two for wolves, doesn't have to be the hammer. Bedroll is almost required, but snow shelters (needs cloth) will do in a punch.
Some food on the way, you don't strictly need your bow. But... You might find it's such an interesting trip that you want to hunt and hunker down in a couple places...
Tough one, because there is a lot of loot at the top that you want as little as possible to make carrying it down easier.
Just be careful how you go about putting them into play. There is only one rope in the default Timberwolf path that cannot be bypassed and people have taken that rope to deploy for a shortcut (the broken one was nearby) or taken the rope then skyrimmed down from the summit then found they had cut off their access.
Good luck.
Edit: If you want to take the cautious approach, break the trip up into stages: explore up the mountain a little until you find a cave or something, then turn that cave into a waypoint, stocking it with food, sticks, and water. If you need to, you can always fall back to your previous base/waypoint because it is not far. Then explore a little farther, make another waypoint, and repeat.
Yes, specially if take the "wrong" path, will face wolves and bear.
Also... Under the plane? Could be the first I've heard of that. I know there's a few things in the body of the plane that get missed on first look, but under... Huh
