im using a Microsoft Store version of the game
F12 for standard screenshots to Steam.
F8 for debug screenshots (with map co-ordinates and settings info).
F10 for Hi-Def screenshots.
Debug and HD screenshots save to your desktop, not to the Steam uploader.
kb/m on Windows. Controller and other OS, not sure, There is a key bindings menu in the Options menu on the main menu page in the game. Rebindables and keybinds for all things are listed there.
In my game, on PC - bought at GoG in 2017, it shows as;
F8-Debug Screenshot
F9-Screenshot
F10-High Resolution Screenshot (HUD Disabled)
*Screenshots saved to desktop
(that's the exact wording in my game)
Or maybe it's because I didn't buy the game at Steam. Also, none of the keys are rebindable.
And all 3 keys do save the screenshots to desktop on my PC. For whatever it's worth, TLD is installed on a Win 7 rig and I'm running V-1.94
Here's a link to a screenshot of the keybinding page in my game.

The OP was not looking for the Steam screenshot folder. They were looking for the screenshots you can take with F10 which your PC saves somewhere else. For me, that is the desktop.
It doesn't really matter now because i ported my windows saves over to steam and now use the steam version of the long dark, but thank you guys for trying to help at least.
Thank you - that was very helpfull @Pacius [FIN]
