how do i avoid getting electrocuted?

so i need to get an archive in the dam, so i sacavanged the dam during the day, and rested in it during the evening to get acess to it more quickly when the aourora showed up, however, i am now at the lower level of the damn, the aourora is up, and there is a cable in the middle of the hallway leading to the damn entrance level making sparks all over the place, i tried to carefully aproach it, and lost haf my health, so now i am stuck it seems at the lower level, unless i can find a way to avoid the cable, since there doesn't seem to be another way around it.

can i avoid getting electrocuted? if so how? is there another way to the entrance? that won't get me killed?

yes you can move around the dam without getting electrocuted, its a mini game puzzle they introduced in the story mode. Just look around, there should be ways to get around the exposed wire.

Sometimes you just have to spend the time to wait out the aurora. If it's still dark after the aurora and you don't have a source of light then you need to wait til daylight.

I am not in story mode, i am in challenge mode, trying to get a computer file, now i need to know with 100% certanty that i won't die to that wire, because there are sparks all over the hallway, and if it turns out he cant be avoided, and i try to walk around it, and i die, i will ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ flip it.

There is no way that I know of to safely bypass the sparking wires in the corridor leading up to the main entrance from the generator level while the aurora is active. In story mode that corridor would be impassable as story mode provides another way (a one-way trip on the elevator) but that's not available to survival mode play.

There is no point in risking death due to electrocution unless other circumstances force one to choose. Wait until dawn when the aurora starts to fade and the wires stop sparking.

This is not to say that one would never make it across sparking wires but when the alternatives are wait until it is safe or try and maybe die the decision is up to the player.

thanks! i will wait it out then, unfortunetly that means a waste in time and resources, but i do have enough to last another 2 nights, so i will activate the computer another night, and move out to another area.
