That aside, episode 3 could be played without having played 1+2 before, so I expect the same will be true for episode 4. But I don't know for sure.
Agree, gonna start up a fresh Wintermute playthru since it's been 2 years, play it on the "hardest" difficulty this time (which I think is only equivalent to like Stalker). Might not even jump into Ep 4 on the day it launches as a result, but I know that I have a bit of time before Blackrock Penitentiary is added to Survival, so I'm not worried.
I am really curious though, will there be some sort of Halloween event this year? Even 4DON?
However, some survival mode mechanics are not present in the first episode of Wintermute, so this tutorial aspect is probably less useful for advanced or even intermediate players. And on the flip side, some advanced players seem to feel Wintermute is kind of boring cause of the tutorial elements. (Trying to be a bit vague in order to avoid spoilers here.)
