Ravine rope on As the Dead Sleep missing? (possible spoilers)

I know the usual spots where the rope spawns in the ravine:

1: in the train cars at the end of the tracks on the ML side of the map or
2: in the cave on the other side of the tree bridge on the way to CH

Is there a third location that I'm not aware of? I never had this issue in interloper or deadman sandbox, but in the ATDS challenge this isn't the first time I've run into it, and strangely, I can't find anything on the interwebs to indicate that anyone else is having the same problem.

While I don't know how much custom tweaks they made (if any) to loot for this challenege when you start a new survival game in the Long Dark there are 4x possible 'Loot Tables' which the game will spawn by default. Important items like ropes might appear on one loot table but not on another.

I think what you potentially need to do is take the mountaineering rope from either:
1) Unhitch the final rope you climb when leaving Mountain Town towards Mystery Lake
2) Unhitch the rope north east of the Camp Office in Mystery Lake in the area called "Lake Overlook"

This is assuming you are doing the following route:

1) Broken Railroad
2) Hushed River Valley
3) Ravine
4) Desolation Point
5) Timberwolf Mountain

So sometimes it just doesn't spawn nearby, and sometimes it does? If that's how it is, then that's how it is. Gotta say that they did so much right in designing this challenge, but that seems like a major error to me.

Luckily (and surprisingly) I've got the food to afford what will probably end up being a whole day's setback, running back to grab a rope.
