An typical run for Spencer's Forge.
Inspired by JayXL Interloper topic, I did a 2nd look at Interloper - in the first, time ago, I give up in day 23, too cold.

Luck start in TMW in the high ground bellow engine, run for Mountaineers Hut, and wolf in the lake keep me freezing some time in Fishing Hut. In Mountaineers Hut find matches, boil some water awaiting next day - I don't travel at night. Then run for PV, an Moose near the landing gear give an farewell.

PV Abandoned Bunker is empty, see an bear between the nearest Hunter Blind and Sketch Ridge, never seen then there before. Well, better an bear than an wolf.

Farmstead (matches, hacksaw...), harvest "ton's" of cloth. Signal Hill (combat pants), transition cave, very tired have to make a snow shelter in Winding River - in front the open cave.

Then ML DAM - waste a box of matches navigating there in the dark. :steamfacepalm:

After loot DAM, Camp Office and surrounds, have find bedroll and the Heavy Hammer (don't remember where), run for FM around day 10.

Approach Poarcher's Camp walking in the ice at left of tracks - this keep you out of the sight of the wolf that eventually patrol on the right side of cars and allow collect some cat tails on the way. Lit the fire barrel at the car for recover temp, take some torches.

At sunset go for Spencer, following the big rocks path, an wolf block the way near the Arch. Deviate by the right is not option, much thin ice area to get around, dark is near an another wolf patrol this way.

Since I have noticed in ML lake that 'loper wolves detect you more far, just lit a campfire, attract the Arch wolf and await then came and run away, in the 3rd time I see a "window" for run to the Ach, then to broken shed, cross the pier and climb the fallen tree in front Spencer's.

Scout the area, no more wolves. Did the forge drill - an hatchet and 12 arrows, forget to pick metal scrap in ML.

Return 2 days after in good weather be same path, passing in High Hunter Blinding - this time no wolves in the way, collect dozen of cat tails and Rose Hips, in Poarcher's have to await an blizzard end. By experience had left there sticks, fire wood and coal for emergencies.

Next day the bear are at right of tracks in between Poarcher's and the tunnel for ML, by-pass then for the left, what give me more cat tails and one sapling.

Returning for Trappers very tired (over encumbered), for the first time sleep recovery condition for 100%. :steamhappy:

After loot most places of ML have the basic stuff, 2 hacksaw, firestriker, mag lens and so so clothes - I have not made any fur clothes yet. Find 2 storm lantern, but I don't carry.

For now "hunt" only one dear - use an wolf for kill then, try kill the wolf but miss the arrow. But the bear don't allow harvest all deer, the wolf kill then near bear cave there in Trapper's. Moose have fun watching this "drama".

By now one CF warning, cured sleeping in the cave in the hill in front Camp Office.

Then head for Milton since saplings there abound, camp in the Park office, loot Orca gas station - next day see 3 wolves around, but avoid the town, visit Farmstead, Church - find an new (for me) open cave near Church, after the road behind Trailer with bench, in the hill near the waterfall - is not the transition cave for HVR, an convenient place for kill CF for one that "camp" in trailer, but an wolf patrol very near the cave entrance.

Now, in day ~30 I am in HVR, welcomed by an huge blizzard. :steammocking:

WoW! HVR result a bad move, very cold there, in the Mysterious Signal Fire snacks, Heavy Hammer (I already have in FM), Mackinaw jacket and an Moose steak "trap" - give me Food Poison.

Sleeping in bedroll make recovery condition difficult, and in low condition became complicate even collect sticks.

Decide retreat to Milton, but then a pesky wolf block the path under fallen three bridge, manage to by-pass then, but successive blizzards cost me 4 days for reach the transition cave - comparatively go to Spencer forge was a "walk in the park".

In the end this "adventure" result in the Mackinaw jacket, another Heavy Hammer, half dozen of saplings, some coal but deplete my stock of cat tails.

Now loot Milton town.
