Unlocking all passive traits ?
Hello, i havent played this game in about a year and the reason for that is, that the devs dont want me to play the game i want to play.

I would really like to play the game in a challenging difficulty that doesnt "require" abusing of mechanics ( for example on interloper many people cook hundreds of teas to level up their cooking in the first few days ) those kind of things are not fun for me.
But at the same time, expert mode has too much loot and too many wolves. i dont like that either.

When i play custom difficulty i cant progress my unlocks at all so ultimately it made me stop playing.

Anyone got any tips what i should do?

Play Voyageur and don't pick up every single thing that you see. Limit yourself... just because the loot is there, you don't have to grab it or use it all. Level up your Feats that way, and once unlocked, play Interloper or custom settings games using them. Not sure what else anyone can suggest.

The devs cannot possibly make a game that will fit a few million or more peoples' specific wants. If game devs could do this, every single one of us would love every single game ever made. If a game is not feeling good to you, find one that is, and play it, perhaps?

You can abuse mechanics. It's not required. I'm on my way to level 5 cooking without making all the teas or cooking tiny bits of meat. There is plenty of other food around even in Interloper.

One way to level up a bit faster is being well fed all the time. It requires you to hunt a lot, so you cook a lot more meat than when you starve

letting me progress unlocks on custom difficulty would be a good start

v1.29 turned off the Feat progress when playing a custom game. Download a mod to unlock that or just play Stalker.

OP makes no sense. I play interloper without 'abusing' mechanics. Cook food and boil water when I need it. If the argument is 'you need to abuse/exploit/cook lots of teas for interloper to be viable' then that is demonstrably false.

Do like me, I don't care more for unlocks/perks - I have delete my player and erase all - but some are there again, I just don't select when start a new game.

Neither bother in read skill books for "level up" fast - only read mending guide if start in place with few cloth, the rest I burn.

This and avoid eating wolf and bear meant unless as last resort, give me a Interloper a bit more challenging. :steammocking:

i asked for tips how to unlock the traits not how to play the game in a different way then i want to, its literally in the title but apparently seems to be a problem for people.

calling me a troll when you provide nothing productive, maybe look at yourself.

How am i combative? I ask for a way to unlock the passive traits because i want to play custom difficulty instead of interloper and get replied to play on voyager and limit myself and not pick up loot, or that i should play interloper because my opinion is wrong or that i should play another game instead.

What should i reply ? Why does it seem to be a problem for people that i want to play a singleplayer game the way i want and not the way they want ?

just tell me which gamefile i have to edit to unlock the traits or make them unlockable on custom difficulty and done.

No one here can unlock Feats for you in custom settings, and Hinterland has already said a few dozen times that they have it set that way for a reason.
And I suggest you check both the Steam Discussions Rules and Guidelines as well as the Hinterland forums rules (which are nothing more than the Steam Discussions Rules and Guidelines...) to try to understand why talking about any unsupported mods, cheats, hacks or warez might not be a good idea. Anyone here who is foolish enough to tell you how, specifically, to do what you are asking risks a perma-ban on the forums here.

Try doing an internet search. And yes... try being a little less combative if you want help from people on these forums. You actually do catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar.

fiddle with custom settings

Play pilgrim and rush the requirements to unlock all passive bonuses. If you're willing to "abuse" the mechanics, then it should go pretty quickly. Then play on your custom settings.

I do feel required to point out that many Interloper players don't abuse the mechanics in the way that you describe, so it's entirely possible for you to stick to default Interloper and succeed there.

You don't have to be in interlooper. You can earn feats in Pilgrim if you want to. You just can't do costum.
