Reclaimed Wood.
Useful for anything specific or is it just firewood now?

I remember it used to be for torches and maybe repairing some tools.
I can't figure out if its anything but firewood now.

Snares. Stones are cool, but at some point you'll find it's just better to set a snare and bag a rabbit a day off-camera.
I guess, though I find stones are pretty easy once you get the hang of it.

True, but its nice to set a bunch of snares to come back to later. That way you don't have to spend as much time trying to hunt bunnys.

Stone hunting also exterminates the population. Set snares and you can keep reelin' em in for infinity.

On Little Island in DP I saw LMG set 5 snares. FIVE. He was harvesting 2-3 rabbits/day, no let up.
Stone Hunting extreminates?
Wot?
How?
They respawn.
I'm currently hitting up each map and emptying everything out,
so perhaps I'll go ahead and setup snares after I've cleaned everything out.

I mean exterminate in the short term. Like at Trapper's, if I stone the three bunnies there in one day, they're gone for over a week. Or I can snare 1 a day for a month.

But at the beginning of the game, 4 of them somewhere are dyin' from stones.
I'm playing Pilgrim, so I've got a damned good stockpile of raw meat sitting out in the snow.
I'm not too worried, until I sit down and start hibernating. Then, perhaps I'll be doing it.

Snares are better for longer, more inactive, survival in an area with rabbits nearby. Otherwise stones have kind have made them less useful if you don't mind going out for expanded periods/can risk the cold/predators under higher difficulties.

I run 7 snares which is basically all the food and guts I need.
Yeah, I can understand how in the long run, even on Pilgrim, snares work wonders when hibernating.
But for now, if I leave snares out, they'll degrade in the weather/snow, could have the rabbit be eaten by a predator or even rot away in the cold.
I've only cleaned out 1-2 regions so far.
