Wintermute Intro Music

I'd love an option to turn back on the old intro and subsequent menu music. It was so good I would let it play out every time I booted up the game. The subtle plucks during the name pans, then the simple menu picture with the strings going wild in the background...amazing.

The new intro is just lacking in so many ways comparably. The dead silent pan, into a cluttered menu with a background, foreground, and ambient noise with the music playing? No thanks.

i booted up the game after a longer break and immediately missed the old intro

I’m actually a big fan of the new somg, though I did like the old one too. I’m curious what the background will be once Wintermute is finished, since they tend to change it with the release of each chapter.

The song itself isn't terrible, It can be quite good at points. But it doesn't hold the same starkness to it that a violin provides, it has the warmth of the cello spoiling that. When I hear the old one, I think of bitterly cold nights. When I hear the new one, I think of sitting by a fire inside.

On top of that, it would be much better of a song if they got rid of the ambient background noise. Crows caw and wind blows throughout the piece, spoiling the music somewhat.

It's called "Wintermute" and can be found on youtube as the long dark intro. In fact, here's what the old intro looked like in its whole. Amazing stuff.
