Wolf hides, what a waste..
They could be really useful crafting a tent or other clothing. Definitely to patch the roof up in Mountaineer's. I have 100s lying around in true hoarder style and wonder what a waste...

The other clothing for sure. Even if you could only put wolf fur trim on your deerhide boots. You should be able to make all clothing items out of all cured hides.

Why not just craft two wolfskin coats? They are warm and can scare off wolves randomly. If you have enough hides, you can keep them repaired for ages.

The amundsen south pole expedition famously used trousers made from wolfskin...currently there are two slots for trousers, only one craftable item made from a deer skin, which is also used in another clothing item without craftable alternatives...trousers from wolf / wolf+deer might be the way to go...

Local Man becomes ball of fur, says he is "too warm to die"
Later dies of heatstroke.

In serious news, it would be cool if you could affect beds. Each bed has its own warmth bonus, but if I'm freezing to death wearing full pelted clothing, I'm not just going to pull up my sheet and let myself die. I'm going to take a stack of pelts and make myself a nest. Maybe just a slot or two on a bed for extra blankets, and warmer variants from wolf->rabbit->bear ect.? Rabbits would obviously be warmer than wolf, but can you imagine how many pelts you'd need for a full blanket? It would be easier just to kill 2-3 wolves than harvest that many rabbits.

Different hides could have different "weight" and properties, like rabbit is extra warm, deer is all purpose, wolf is extra tough, bear is all three, moose is all that and dry as well.

Any clothing should be craftable with any of the above, using the required "weight" in hides, and gaining the properties of the type used.

So jacket could be done with either 1 moose, 2 bear, 4 wolf, 4 deer, or say 20 rabbits. Moose could make boots & gloves, or pants and hat. Any hide could be used for repairs, just need the required weight... Not about the particulars numbers, just the basic idea.
YES, i have been wanting this or something similar for years. why can i not patch my deer pants with a rabbit fur? maybe it repairs less percentage but you could still do it. there is so much more they could do with clothing that would add enjoyment to the long term games

If we're gonna go that deep, rabbit fur would make an AMAZING fire starting tinder. Soft and fine.

This. Ive been saying this for years. I usually stick with work gloves and work boots for the first 100 or so days of an Interloper run. After multiple blizzard and animanl attacks, all the cured leather in the world gets used up and then I have to start crafting hide gear. I would love to make cured leather out of hides.
