Hunting animals.
Hi, I'm currently on Voyageur and on mystery lake. I want to hunt some animals because I am going low on food. Any good spots for hunting wolfs, bears, deer, and moose?

Not sure if you will know these locations if you are not yet familiar with ML, but here goes:

...Moose: There's 2 spots that a moose can spawn here, one in front of Trapper's and the other near the Dam. If you find trees with the bark rubbed off, that indicates that a moose may spawn in the area. If you don't see the rubbed trees, move on.. he won't be spawning there.

There's the 3rd moose location near the cabin close the 'Unnamed pond' too.

Also worth mentioning, they're not guaranteed, a moose can spawn randomly at one location, but that doesn't mean you'll always find one per map.

Fishing is great, and only gets better as you level it up.
If you see a rabbit or two while out walking, they'll be there for a while, unless eaten. You could snare em or hunt them with rocks. Usually there are always some scattered around the areas in a not-so-subtle tug of game design.

Deer and wolves are pretty much everywhere; you shouldn't have to go looking for them. That said, you can find deer consistently on the river near the Dam, on Mystery Lake itself, and in front of Trapper's. There's plenty of game to hunt without having to bother yourself with wolves, I would practice safe distancing with them.

Bear: There's 3 bears in ML. One near Trapper's, one at the nameless pond near the Ruined Lookout Tower, and one on Mystery Lake. Every active bear will have a cave that they base out of. If you find bones in a cave, it's a bear cave and the bones indicate that he's on active patrol in the area.

Moose: There's 2 spots that a moose can spawn here, one in front of Trapper's and the other near the Dam. If you find trees with the bark rubbed off, that indicates that a moose may spawn in the area. If you don't see the rubbed trees, move on.. he won't be spawning there.

Hope this helps! :coffeeTLD:
Also there is a bear at The Unnamed Pond and a moose nearby at the cabin with an outhouse.

Everyone keeps mentioning a moose near the lonely cabin with the outhouse near the ruined lookout tower. I must be unlucky, I've never seen that moose before. Never even knew it existed. Good to know, thanks everyone!

Now, in addition to the moose in DP, I have 2 moose to hunt that I've never hunted before.

+1 personal challenge :coffeeTLD: :AlaskanMoose:
Good luck

Also, from my own experience, those trees are part of the scenery, that means: they will ALWAYS be there with a part of the bark missing, even if the mode shouldn't spawn moose (such as story mode), so, in short: if there's no moose on the area it should be: it might spawn there later... or might spawn in some other place... or it might not spawn in days, lol... that's the fun of hunting moose, i guess...
