Does loot respawn in this game?

I assume you're asking about clothing/food/tools. No. Some resources do respawn, like coal in caves, sticks/branches(after weather events).

Only some natural resources like limbs and sticks, coal (in caves only) and animals, but not the rose hips, old man's beard or the mushrooms. The human-made items like food, knives, clothing etc. do not respawn.

No respawn but soem spawn at beaches (google TLD beachcombing). Overall it is close to infinite (even on hardest difficulties there are people that made 10.000 days before they got bored)

Yes, I forgot to mention beachcombing. There are a few maps which have a coastline. Things wash up, such as prybars and stuff, but also things like sticks and fish which respawn anyway. However, beachcombing is dangerous as you can fall through the ice. Most people run as fast as they can to the stuff, grab it and back away. But the risk is seldom worth the reward - at least, I have not found very good stuff. Then again, I play on easier levels where there is lots of stuff so I don't need to resort to beachcombing. On higher difficulties where there is very little tools and things, it might be worth the risk.

An alternative is to strip off all of your clothes before approaching loot on dangerous ice. After you fall in and climb out your clothes are still dry. I prefer this to the risk of getting everything soaked.
