I mean, you could shoot it with a rifle or a bow and arrow. Not like it can get to you on the ship. Took the pelt off that bear that way myself before.
In Test branch I decided to pelt Old Grumpy Bear over by trappers. Got right to the bottom of the fallen tree, waited for him. Pelted him with a stone. All it did was make him notice me and start coming toward me, chased me up the tree. He camped me for a short time at the base of the tree and then went back to wandering back to his cave.
I decided that was enough of that experiment. Just ticks the bear off for a bit.
But that bear in DP now regularly wnaders between the road, Hibernia and the Riken, and seems to camp the Riken or Hibernia more if you are within detection range, outdoors. I think many of us have now been camped at the Riken by Old Grumpy Bear.
Which means, with my luck, I'll never, ever see it wandering by the Riken again.
I'm still trying to do that, trying to hit it without aming, because as soon as I you try to aim the thing jumps at you like you were poiting it with a rifle or an arrow.
Yep. you have to get a hang of throwing them without aiming. I took about 25 rocks and went to a hunting blind (wolves can't get in them AFAIK) and started throwing rocks at a nearby wolf. I threw about 10 of them untill one finally scared it away... or it was my stench?
