At the very back of caves you'll see that it's much warmer there, although on Interloper this might be a tough call, as the weather is so punishing. Just be sure to check the temperature and not sleep in more than 1 or 2 hour shifts. Good luck!
It is very warm at the very back of cave and i have best crafted clothes, so am not affraid from a cold, i am afraid from a wolf or a bear attack while i sleep since i plan not to start a fire, if it is possible for them to attack me in a (non bear) cave :) tnx for reply :)
If the cave you are referring to is not Dave's Quiet clearing, I would guess that you're safe (climb a rope then cross a hill or two and then down to a cave) from predators. You'd be in greater danger from temperature than predators there.
I've done it, but I have all the crafted gear. If there is a blizzard, it can't be done without the bearskin bedroll and no fire. Or maybe it can if the temp drop isn't too severe.
But I have never been attacked while sleeping in a cave. Just don't sleep in a bear cave and you're good.
