The music files have a *.wem format, does anyone know more about this subject?
Any who, every time you start the game, give me a call and I'll hum it for you.
Oh... My favorite... My, god, it's beautiful.
I believe that - they probably do want to keep it fresh. The main menu is the prominent place to show off the new music. But making the old music inaccessible rather than demoting it to regular in-game music or something else (like a music selection menu) seems like a much better use of IP. I guess I'm more curious about the decision rather than annoyed or upset
Yeah it is too bad it's just "gone" from the game in its current state.
Nothing beats "The Lion's Roar" by First Aid Kit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q4_h8GyIWkM . The way that the cut-scene with the wolves changes on the drum beat is pretty good for a video game cinematic. When I first got to Chapter Two, I knew that I had heard this song before so I looked through my overly-bloated music collection and found the track. I have played this several times while driving through the desert with nothing in my field of view except mountains. Those are the moments that help you understand how someone who primarily listens to rock could get into old-school folk-country. That's what makes for good production... when you seek out the experience again after it is over.
