How do I cure dysentery?

I have more than enough water/ antibitoics, and some of the mushroom tea, so how do I cure this? I take the pills, I get -" that treatment did not do anything", same w/ tea.

Do I just keep consuming items until it gets cured, or somehow combine them? Do I have to just wait it out?

Are you referring to food poisoning or intestinal parasites? If you're getting the message "that treatment did not do anything", then that can mean several things. Either the pills or tea aren't being applied to the correct aliment (if you have several), or you've already taken the correct dose for it.

Have you already rested the required amount?

No he's explicitly referring to DYSENTERY - "the runs". This happens when you drink unsafe water.

@OP: Go to your STATUS screen ("F") and it will tell you what is the needed remedy for your condition.

It will list a required medicine, and required rest. If you've already taken the medicine, it will have a tick mark next to it. Then, you just need to rest - find a bed or put down a bedroll in a warm place, make sure you are warm, and sleep the disease away.

Make sure you are not confusing the different types of medicine - a mushroom tea is quite different from rosehip mushroom; antibiotics pills are different from pain pills.

The treatment needed to cure various ailments is shown for you the character status screen, default F key. Most require a certain amount of sleep after meds. The first treatment checkmarks the meds portion, but taking extra meds does nothing extra for you.

Well, that'd explain it, lol. In all my time in TLD, I've never been (un)fortunate enough to get dysentery. I'm still guessing that OP hasn't fulfilled the rest requirements, whatever those may be.

I wasn't aware I had to rest in addition to taking the medicine- I just figured it'd be gamey, like bandages instantly stopping bleeding from wolf maulings.

Maybe I misread the status screen, I thought it was 'Take one of these two cures OR sleep for 10 hours'.

I'm cured now, at any rate.
