Milton, Mystery Lake, through the dam to Pleasant Valley and from there to Coastal Highway, hitting the archivist achievements on the way out to Desolation Point.
Then, back to CH via Misanthropes, Jack Rabbit and up to Bear Creek to hit the railway track back to ML and out to Forlorn Muskeg and Broken Railroad before retracing the steps to return to PV and TWM.
It took 56 Days 19 hours. The fishing cabin on CH took 12 days before the Aurora appeared and I ran to Quonset to get both achievements in one night!
Paul, could you give a hint as to what fishing cabin I need to visit? I've been along the coast and into each major house on it and none of them have a computer. Is it one of the fishing huts out on the ice?
The locations are marked on the in game map, so on the PC, just press M.
Hopefully that's not too much of a spoiler!
Am just finished Archivist challenge in 21 days... I was a litlle bit lucky in the later days cos am being attacked by wolves twice meanwhile i was waiting for Aurora in FM. The route was Milton-ML-PV (thoug the Dam)-TM and back. ( I was very lucky in this point for the weather, so i can do a rush of 1 day to the Abyss Cave and back). After this, a fast walt to CH (quonset) and DP (it can be done in one night) and back. The remainig log and ML again and FM. This is the harder part i think... Be carefull with the vivac at the tower !!!
And finally last stage...
You only need a lot of coffee and keep walking...!
And wacht out with electricity..!!! Aurora has sneaky dangers...!!
I just finished this fun run in just short of 13 days! Spoilers! Beware!
First I immediately got the 1st Milton Buff, scavenged a couple homes, hit Gas station and got 2nd buff, then headed up & lit a fire and rested in that tourist small shack up near the picnic area until the weather cleared then climbed down. Took a quick rest in the cave at the bottom then climbed up the other rope and headed through the cave tunnel to Mystery Lake Trappers cabin. (RIFLE! Yaaasss!) The weather turned so spent some time there making coffee, repairing clothes, then moved on to the Camp office and waited for the next aurora. Slept during the day so I was always ready at night, then as soon as Aurora hit, get the buff and move on to the Upper Dam. (Warmed up with a fire in the train car with the glass windows.)
Got the Upper Dam buff, some supplies (watch out for live wires,) quick rest, then headed for and passed through Ravine to Coastal Highway. I headed down to the shore, located the computer in the Fishing Hut for future reference (daylight by now,) quick warm up nap then crossed the ice headed for Crumbling Highway (watch out for wolves.) Scavenged a cabin before Commuter's Lament then went straight through Crumbling. Had one wolf attack but had a hunting knife by now so no big deal, no rest needed.
On to Desolation point and went straight to Hibernia where I stayed 2 nights waiting for Aurora. Well rested when aurora came, so got the buff , headed to Lighthouse, got that buff, then immediately traveled as fast as I could back through Crumbling Highway and on to the Quonset buff (still same Aurora) in Coastal Highway, but on my way to the Fishing hut from Quonset, the Aurora ended. Boo.
Stayed in fishing hut scavenging the area until next Aurora. Got that buff then headed up to the mine tunnel to Pleasant Valley. Rested up in the Mine then headed to the General Store and waited for Aurora. Again, making sure I was well rested when it hit, I got the buff and headed to the Big Barn with hay sheds. Had to stay a bit due to weather then crossed the field towards the Farmhouse (not to it.) When i hit the river, i took it to the right then right again at the T and up to Draft Dodger's. Rested/warmed up then climbed up just behind the cabin. Rested at the top one hour then climbed the second rope and went directly to the bunker next to the rope to Timberwolf.
Climbed rope to Timberwolf and went to the cabin. No aurora that night so the next day, I dropped some items in the cabin to travel light and headed down to the Chasm Cave mid-afternoon. Warmed up, napped and waited until night and yep- Aurora. Got the buff, walked back to the cabin, got my stuff then traveled back to the rope and slept in the bunker at the bottom back in Pleasant Valley.
Next I headed to climb back down towards Draft Dodgers and got hit by 2 wolves, one hurt me so I rested up in that cellar near the rope. Climbed down both ropes and took the river to the Farmhouse for some scavenging (got water from toilets mostly- rarely cooked) and a nap. Then i headed towards the rope near the bear cave and walked up to the Signal Hill Hut and waited for Aurora. I passed time in all locations by repairing my clothes, cleaning gun, and sharpening knife. No hatchet ever needed- too heavy anyway.
When Aurora came, i got the buff then hurried down the road to the Cave tunnel to Winding River and didn't stop until i also got the buff in the Lower Dam ( in the connecting room where you enter back into lower dam.) Slept until daylight (trapped there from live wires anyway) then went up and took the tracks all the way to Forlorn M. I had great clothes by then so warmth was not a problem there.
Once in Forlorn, I headed to the right and walked back to the mountains and around towards the North Tower. I found it then camped out in the cave close by near the water fall until the aurora. When it came, I got the tower buff, went back through the cave tunnel where i picked up a rope and after the tunnel cave, I placed the rope and climbed down (a shortcut towards broken railroad.) I scared off 2 wolves with my gun- way better than that flashlight and passed into Broken railroad. I traversed the bypass (wolf to shoot at and scare there) and then used my gun A LOT to scare wolves entering the final building and grabbed that buff completing the challenge.
Phew! I wrote a novel there! Travel light, drink coffee, travel by night, and check for aurora every few hours during the night- they are more often than you might think. Hope I didn't leave any important bits out....

No. It appears to be a modified Voyageur. Not nearly enough wolves to be Stalker. Tons of supplies, so Well-Fed buff is a no brainer.
I literally left the hunting rifle and all tools behind when I found them except for a knife and a hatchet. The revolver was my best friend. Pry bar, of course, for a while until I had found good enough clothing, but then I dumped it also.
I only saw 2 bears the entire time; TWM cave near Mountaineers Hut, and the Missing Throat bear. Never saw a moose at all.
Aurora #1: Spawned at night mid-aurora. Looted Milton House & Credit Union, grabbed the Post Office buffer memory(BM) & loot, then I looted cars until I found a prybar (right outside the Gas Station actually) to break in & grab the 2nd BM. During the next day, I ventured via the MT>ML cave to Trapper’s, where I had to wait one extra day.
Aurora #2: Slept in 1-hr increments until the aurora, then bolted for FM. Got attacked by a wolf running up the hill to the North Tower, but still managed to make it all the way to Maintenance Yard in BR to grab a total of three BMs this night. Beware the live wires at MY!
Aurora #3: Spent half the day looting MY, then headed back across FM/ML to CO just before nightfall. Grabbed the BM and ran past the Dam to CH via Ravine. Grabbed the BM at the first Fishing Hut just inside CH, then slept til morning.
Aurora #4: I didn’t dare flirt with all the live wires in the Dam. I doubled back to the Dam during the day & looted it. This BM is all the way at the back of the Lower Dam, near the open window. Slept that night, then left early the next day.
Aurora #5: I spent the day getting to Signal Hill (where I had to wait one extra day) via Winding River. After looting SH, my clothing is elite & I’m loaded up on coffee, so I’m feeling bold. When the aurora popped, I grabbed the BM at SH, ran up to the Rural Store BM, then ran across PV to TWM where I dropped some excess weight at the Hut. I kept running, got attacked by a wolf east of Crystal Lake, but managed to make it to Chasm Cave in time to grab that BM. At this point, I built a fire & camped in the cave until early afternoon to regain condition/stamina.
Aurora #6: The long trek, pt 2. I tried to run across TWM, through PV, and down CH to Quonset by nightfall, but the aurora began when I emerged from the Mine into CH. I got attacked by a wolf coming down the CH slopes & had to dance around the bear, so I decided to play it safe & bunk in Quonset overnight after collecting the BM.
Aurora #7: I waited out a daytime blizzard in Quonset, but it ended just after dusk which allowed an aurora to pop. I snuck out the back exit & made haste through Crumbling Hwy (scared off the wolf with my high-beam) to DP. I outran a wolf on the way to the LightHouse but didn’t see any wolves on the ice, so I ran down the backside of the LH cliffs & across the ice past the Riken to Hibernia.
Milton - both buffers first night, rested till morning, looted town during day, down the rope and spent night in cave before proceeding to Mystery Lake in the morning
ML - Cabin buffer 2 evening, then made my way to Lower Dam during the day. Repaired clothing while waiting for next aurora. Snagged buffer then went through winding river to reach signal hill, waited for aurora then got both PV buffers at the same time.
Rushed the prepper's cache at the bottom of TM, had to wait out a storm before going up. Once at the trapper's hut, needed to wait one extra night before grabbing the buffer in the cave. Rested a bit at the hut on my way back before rushing all the way to Hibernia in DP. Yes, coffee definitely helps :)
Upon next aurora, grabbed both buffers at DP and CH. Needed to pop an energy drink to get to the fisherman's cabin before the aurora timed out. Next morning, ventured through the ravine back to CL and paused at the camp office to be fully rested for the night. As soon as the aurora started, went directly to the north tower in FM and then onto BR for the last two. Faced some nasty winds in FM and BR, nothing major and sure made progress slow. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the result.
P.S. I decided to go through the dam instead of taking the ravine to CH because the first buffer in PV is signal hill which is right next to the cave connecting PV to WR.
Cheers!

perhaps we should start a new one, or an entire new category for feats/challenges.
