I just get pissed off if I can't run up and break its neck before it wakes up and runs off!
I know lol i just didn't expect that...
Rabbits are a refilling buffet of food for predators. They know they will be eaten, it's why they "do it like rabbits"... to resupply the population with food.
If it wasn't you, it would've been a wolf. At least you gave it a quick death...and the bunny may live on as a mitten.
It helps to remember that if the tables were turned there's nothing that suggests that the rabbit would be merciful with you... remember the incident at the cave... remember the cave..
lol makes sense too
But it is what it is, eather eat the animal or have it hop around on your starving body :P however i never kill any animal until i need to. And as Astralite said if you dont do it someone else will, i had a deer in front of the hut on TWM, had more then half a bear infront the door, so i didnt need more food atm. Said why hunt the deer, let it enjoy the sunny day ;) half a day later a passing wolf said why not hunt a deer and feast on a sunny day :D
But then over time you see wolves ripping the poor little blighters to bits and realise that they're also one of your best sources of food and suddenly the neck snap doesn't seem so bad.
I avoid killing bunnies unnecessarily (I.E. when I'm fat off of venison, fish and wolf meat) but a man's got to repair his rabbit mittens every now and then...
