Bear sound at trapper's creeping me out

So I'm at trapper's homestead in ML. I'm just minding my own business getting in and out of the cabin. But whenever I step out, I instantly hear a bear growl. There is no bear in sight. But the sound is as if it's right there about to maul me. It's that close.

Once, I stepped out, heard the bear (didn't see it, pretty clear weather), hid, passed time for a few hours, bear came strolling in the distance, while keeping him in sight pretty far away, I entered the cabin, then immediately got out, and again heard the bear growl. The bear was still far away. What the hell?

This bear sound (or bear location) seems to reset every time I exit the cabin. What gives? Anyone experiencing the same thing? It's creeping me the F#$& out.

The bug is actually with that tree right outside trappers cabin...if you shoot an arrow into that tree the bear will cry alot....think it has something to do with the bear challenge 1 and 2...

Damn. No solutions? There probably won't ever be a bear, just the sound, but still it's disturbing in a non immersive way.

I assumed the bear was clipped under the hill the house is on. You can shoot an arrow at the house or the ground and it will roar. Circling the point the sound always seems to come from under the house.
but yes, known bug. It wouldn't hurt to report it on the bug report system

Thanks for your post, pazartesi_gorusuruz. This is an issue we are currently looking into. Are you updated to the latest version of The Long Dark? v1.37 [39488]

Also, next time you hear this, could you share your debug log with us for that game session?

This time, I didn't hear the bear sounds at all for a while (now that I'm trying to recreate the bug), but in the end, I heard it again. It was the last thing that happened before I entered the cabin and saved and exited the game. Apparently it doesn't always happen. And yeah the game is up to date.
