Hot to get rid of smelly clothes?
I often get notifications that I smell and the only thing I havent used is taking of my clothes. So is that the solution?

It's not your clothes. You're probably carrying meat or guts.

Or fresh hides

Do they actually smell? I know they're supposed to, but I've tested with wolves quite close, and they never react to hides.

Depends on quantity and size

Try to cook and eat fresh meats faster than tin meals. Drop hides and guts in your shelter

Fresh meat smells like hell. So cook it. Cured guts smell much less! When also cooked meat condition is decreasing, its smell increases.

I was sure they do not smell at all.

I was not totally sure. You are always very exact Rain :)

I have been using two 0.25kg of cooked rabbit for decoys and have no scent.

Yeah, small RAW rabbit parts for decoys cause they give little to no scent. Cook meat doesn't seem to work well for decoys. Better yet, and fun too, stink up the place to lure a wolf in. Thin out the pack, especially at PV back porch where wolfs are numerous in the orchard.

Any meat at all will be enough to attract wolves, even if the smell icon doesn't show. I only carry bait anymore if I'm HUNTING wolves or know I'll have to fight my way through anyway.

Cured guts don’t smell and if fresh hides do smell, then it must take a lot of them because I’ve been crouched 10 feet from a wolf while holding a fresh bear hide and had no reaction.

Oh yeah, they smell. Every once in awhile, I'll forget to drop them in my shelter and then I can't figure out why the bad guys keep detecting me.... until I check my bag and do a facepalm. lol

I can promise you, they smell.
Stop trying to wear the fresh guts and hides. Its weird, its making you stand out, and it attracting wolves.

Seriously though, its the raw food, fresh hides, and fresh guts.

Although fresh blood from bleeding will smell too, attracting more vampire lycans to eat your face off. Although you've got larger problems if you leave that untreated for any length of time...
