So when you entered the shelter, your primary concern I imagine was Freezing---red temp bar. I suppose depending on clothes/Day/mode of play it is possible for a snow shelter to keep you warm by itself during a blizzard, but that is unlikely.
And by unlikely I mean me waking up tomorrow and my neighbor deciding to give me a million dollars unlikely. Possible, but...
But if you passed time, esc out before 1h/auto save and then reloaded, aren't you now wherever your last autosave was?
Anyway, pretty sure blizzards hit shelters pretty hard, but no way destroy one all in one go.
