How often does the Aurora Borealis happen?
I'm at that part in Wintermute when we have to wait for the Aurora and go to the dam, but ive waited for atleast 15 in game days so far, and there has been no aurora. It happened to me ONCE after the main quest, and I still need it to happen so I can actually progress to episode 3 when it comes out in december. Any answers about like the rarity of it or how likely it happens every 30 days or something would be welcomed. Thanks.

I remember waiting about 10 days inside the Jeremiah's stash prepped cache for it to come back. I've noticed it doesn't necessarily last the whole night on evenings it does appear so when I need to "wait" on the Aurora I typically start sleeping/waiting in 2-3 hour blocks. You'll hear the Aurora electric sounds if you're in a place that has stuff. If you're sleeping you have to hope it is still going when you wake. If you're waiting then you can back out and Aurora should be active. I know difficulty level can have an effect on Aurora frequency as the setting is available to change in custom games.

Also keep in mind you're not getting any Aurora on overcast, foggy, or blizzard nights. Gotta wait those out to get a shot at lights in the sky.
