aurora effect on wildlife
i havent played this game in a while and after day 6 there was an aurora while i was heading back to my gas station base on coastal highway, i was on the ice and suddenly about 5 wolves in completely different directions and a bear were glowing. does this glowing have a status effect with them or is it just a thing with the aurora causing electrical outburst and stuff?

It causes their detection ranges to go way up, in addition to making them more aggressive. Try to stick to developed areas, because while wolves are more aggressive, they also will not cross a spot of light on the ground. So if you hop from street light to street light or something, you can stay one step ahead of them. If you have a weapon, you can also stand right in the middle of the light and take your time lining up a shot. Normally wolves will charge when you aim a weapon, but wolves will simply refuse to enter the circle of artificial light. They just hang out at the edge and growl at you.

Interestingly on Pilgrim this results in the opposite effect. Wolves and bears still detect you from very far away, but since they automatically flee upon seeing you on Pilgrim, you probably won't see too many of them around.

funfact, deer and rabbits also get a buff to their detection range in the Aurora.
I'm like "Really? At this time of year, at this time of day, in this part of the country, Localized entirely within Great Bear?"
