Basically. I mean, it goes wherever it wants in the general area because certainly no wolf or bear is going to tell a moose where it can and can't go.

Only place I've found one is at Lonely Homestead. In the birch forest area, I think it's.... east? I think it's east of the barn. I don't know! xD From the barn, you should be able to see a ton of birch trees. go over there and there might be a moose around! :)

I hate that area. There is nothing else there (the huts are burned down). There is also a bear in that area. And it's really quite far from the barn

If you're in the fishing hut you can't miss it....If it is there. You will see or hear it right nearby. As you exit the fishing hut, look left and it would be in that area where there are quite a few mushrooms.

Moose spawns do seem a bit rare, so it may take some time for you to see one.
