In the game however, most players just eat once they get really low or completely starving, and just eat till the meter is full. Then they wonder how the survivor's stomach is cabable of consuming 4 pounds of meat in one sitting. No, its not realistic, but isn't it a bit better than restricting how much you can eat in one sitting? Anwyay, that's my two cents on the matter. Realism vs. Game Mechanics and the balance between them.
The quality toolbox is an underappreciated support item. In fairness more people would know if the UI represented the affect better or there was a way to know about it without carrying the toolbox when one goes to craft.
100% this. I used to just leave tools behind because I thought they were worthless except for repairing hacksaws and such. They are so powerful, especially the quality ones. Always hoard and use them.
