Personally, I have nearly two thousand hours of playing the game and bought the game about the same time as Cyndi62 - the game is that good.
There is more to TLD than meets the eye. :)
If you are ill or care for a Ill Familymember 24/7 it is nothing strange to run a game 18/7
Sure its not 100% playtime, but if you go 50 Times at day afk for 1-5 Minutes you will not turn the Game off.
Who would do such a thing?
Between 2 Hours for people that dont like the gameplay and the rest of your life if you love it.
Its really sandbox with no fixed end
Story mode, without any knowledge of the game, and provided you don't rush it, probably between 5-6 hours a chapter. Took me a bit longer, but I was having fun.
Survival mode is a whole different beast. If you really enjoy the gameplay and atmosphere, you can put dozens or hundreds of hours into this mode alone. To someone that hasn't played it, it sounds bizarre (even I was skeptical coming from story to survival), but it is really great fun.
