Can you kill a deer with rocks? Looking for novel, weird ways to hunt deer

I figured it was worth a try so I picked up a dozen rocks and went on a tossing fest. Nope. Still haven't given up.
I know you can chase them into wolves or a bear but I'm trying to go caveman here. I can't scare them off cliffs so that's annoying. I can't fry them with flares (like some games where flares are like napalm launchers).

Bow & arrow, rifle, revolver or hunting with the help of wolves. Nothing else. For now. We'll see if the Bear Spear (when it is added) gives us another way, but not betting on it, since deer do not charge us.

Is there a way to agro a wolf from a distance into attacking a dear? Like throwing a rock between the two?

Are wolves attracted to raw meat that we drop on the ground? /can we put raw meat in an area with deer and will that attract predators to kill them for you?

The scene I just got in my head:

The deer swiveled his majestic rack in the icy wind, eyes warily peeled for any wolf that might be stalking him. He contemplated his new place in the world, snorting a blast of steam into the frigid air. With the two legged vermin having somehow vanished from the earth he could finally......

Something cold and hard just smacked him in the side of the head! He turned his antlered crown in the direction from whence the pain had come, shaking his head in annoyance. He catches sight of the Two Leg crouched around the side of a tree just in time to see it hide one hand behind its back.

The deer snorted his frustration, a great plume of smoking fog. The Two Leg looked sheepish and shrugged saying something in its absurd, barking voice.

"What? Somebody is throwing things...I don't know"

Yes.

I have drawn a wolf on several occasions into a deer area, specifically the hayfield between the PV farmhouse and the Barn. I get the wolf's attention until he barks and starts tracking me, then I walk toward the deer keeping myself just far enough to one side not to spook them. When the wolf gets close enough he will pursue the deer. If he gets it, you get a 2'fer!
