Seeing my breath - indoors??
Searching the dam - indoors - screen says it's 61 degrees - why am I seeing my breath? Completely unrealistic and so annoying. I have to keep stopping to wait for the fog to clear before I can search around for smaller items. Might I suggest that a player's breath not be visible until a more likely temperature, say around 45 degrees? Just a suggestion.

Out of curiosity, does it say 61 degrees for the "feels like" temperature or the air temperature? Haven't been in the dam lately, but that would surprise me if the air temperature was that high.

Sometimes, when indoors, moving around raises dust.....sorta looks like breath.

Isn't the feel like temp include the clothing you are wearing, and not the actual air temp? Most of the buildings I have been into hover around freezing or just above freezing without any clothing on. Makes sense to still see your breath.

That's what I was getting at as well. If the air temperature is hovering around 35 F or so, seeing your breath indoors would make sense.

No, no it does not. The "dust" moving around looks like little pieces of confetti.

The real question is why do we find frozen corpses in buildings that above freezing...

They aren't all frozen. Just refrigerated, to keep them fresh. Be sure to check their "Use By" date...

I'm not an expert, but I'd assume that the cold temperature arrests the body's decay, even if it's not below freezing. The real question is how the player's character adapted their body so quickly to operate flawlessly when the temperature is 1 C.

Ah, we reached the same conclusion. Whatever otherworldly spirit that allows the character to float effortlessly across deep snow has clearly provided the means to exist at near freezing temperatures. A church should be formed around this deity posthaste!

Heh...yeah. Most cases of hypothermia in real life actually happen well above freezing. I always picture my guy lounging in his underwear in 1-4° temps and saying, "Yep this is comfy...this is just fine".

Yes, we're given quite a bit of grace there.

"Ah, it's so warm in this cabin. That 4C really gets the blood movin'!"
