Cat tail respawns?

Does this plant regrow? Also, how do I mend clothes when I run out of sowing kits and fishing hooks? I guess when I run out of metal I can't even make clothes right?

Cat tails do not regrow, once you harvest it, it is gone. Once you find a hacksaw and are hunting it would be pretty hard to run out of fishing gear as string is made from cured gut and hooks made from scrap metal. The hacksaw can be repaired at a work bench back to new using scrap metal and a tool kit. There are various metal objects all over the map that can be hacksawn into scrap metal such as shelves, lockers, metal chairs, old light fixtures, etc.

What is it with your irrational fear of running out things?

Cat tails don't respawn. Same with other plants. But there are hundreds of them. You can live for months on them alone.

There is more scrap metal in the world than you can ever use. Tons of things can be sawed up for it. Maybe start a project of harvesting the hydro dam and see what it gets you.

I doubt you will ever live long enough in any of your games to harvest all the metal lying around the Mystery Lake hydro dam area! Also, the river alone, that runs from the hydro dam to Mystery Lake, has around 15 - 20 pounds of harvestable cat tails growing along it when combined with what can be harvested around the lake itself!

My guess is there is only enough tool boxes and hacksaws to harvest about 20% of all metal found in the game. So yes, i do have a fear of finally making it to a high number of days an then the game says "♥♥♥♥ you" haha!

I must be missing some prompt. The only thing I see with a toolbox is to harvest it (which I haven't done). I just can't figure out how to use them.

Have a toolbox in your inventory. Select the hacksaw and repair it from its menu.

Same with the toolbox. I used to believe you need a red toolbox to repair toolboxes, but a blue one is enough
