P.S. You'd better remove any reference to unauthorized mods, or you topic will be banned.

..only the story mode Wintemute is not.
Really, it's up to individual players choice.
The cheese we can apply ourselves as players really was not the point I was making. And not something the game or game description tells you, if you actually read it. :)
you've got a funny view of bullying my dude, ngl. and idk who this 'we' is but maybe try not to include everyone when you're making false comments that make everyone seem like bad people, when you're not talking to everyone, and they're false?
I bought this game in 2017 lmao, calm your ♥♥♥♥. I haven't played in a long time, do you go and read the store page description for every game you revisit? I don't. Anyway, I like this game and don't get a lot of free time, I don't want to come home after another 12 hour shift just to do the same beginning sequence over again, I just want to see the game.
*woosh*
If you are already dead, then it's too late. You would have had to back up your save game files before dying, and you'd then be able to restore only to the point where you were at the time of backing up.
The savegame files are located in AppData ([System Disk] --> Users --> [your username] --> AppData ...), in one of the subfolders, In a sub-subfolder named Hinterland, then TheLongDark (I think), etc. It should not be difficult to locate there. use the timestamps on the files to easily find the one you need.
Addendum: The Long Dark has one of the most friendly communities of all games, very helpful and patient, but we really don't appreciate it when people throw around vulgarisms and insults towards the game, the developers, or others. If you'd come and asked "Where are the savegame files located?" or "How can I restore my dead survivor after dying?", you would have avoided all this drama.
Are we cool? Cool.
If you haven't played the game in several years, I would strongly recommend starting on a lower difficulty level (Voyageur or even Pilgrim), because so much has changed and your old habits from ~2017 may be working against you.
@others: Then again, you didn't really have to jump on him like that...
