My kingdom for a hammer

I’ve combed ML, FM, Milton map and the railway map... No heavy hammer. The only one that spawned beside the forge in FM went missing during a glitch (together with a ton of wood). Can anyone guide me as to where i may find a hammer in the above 4 maps?

Since you are not playing on Interloper, perhaps you can state the difficulty you are playing on. That would help others help you with finding it. :)

I found one in Broken railroad, at the yard. there's supplies in the breakable crates there.

In ML you can usually find one in The Dam, Fishing Huts(under the stove), Lookout Tower, or Trappers I think.

If you can't find one there, try Pleasant Valley.

In all of 700 plus hours in the game, I have never come across a heavy hammer in Mystery Lake.

Seems silly to have it there, no one is gonna lug that to a forge from ML.

How so? ML is the closest zone to a Forge. No transition zone or ropes etc. to get to FM Forge. It's like a 5-10 minute run from Trappers/Camp Office.

Usually one in the whaling plant (Hibernia Processing) thing in DP, possibly inside the Riken also (the boat with furnace)

Apparently there are 4 possible spawns in ML, I've found one in the Dam before and pretty sure it stayed there :)

Ive had no luck finding the hammer in ML either, ive scoured it prett thoroughly.(stalker) I am hesitant to just run to the forge in FM on the off chance it might be there. But it is either that or go to milton and check if there is one there.(or just abandon this side of the world and head to CH and DP)

Sometimes RNG just doesnt like you. Like I havent found a hacksaw or hammer in ML on this run.(only thing i havent fully checked is to break every single green wooden crate in the dam, but I did break a bunch already, and they never seem to have anything in them) The dam is huge though, and ive been hesitant to waste a crapton of lantern oil (or flares) to get really good visibilty for every nook and corner through the whole place, so it is possible i missed one or both of those tools in there somewhere. *shrug* This game keeps you on your toes that way, esp if you loot at dawn or dusk or during the night, it is so easy to miss seeing loot. The dam isnt well lit even during the daytime

Need that hammer. I want to make arrows, dangit!

Okay, if you are headed to Mountain Town... I just found one there.

In the small house/shack with the woden rail fence around it, diaogonally across from the Milton Watertower. Also found a rather aggro wolf hiding behind the house as well. After I found the hammer and went back outside. I swung, wolf got a nice bump or 2 on it's noggin, and took off. But... you may not be so lucky...

I’m on voyager i believe. Looks like i’m outta luck as i’ve completely looted railroad, FM, ML and MT. the only hammer was placed on the ground with a bunch of wood when the entire stack of stuff disappeared into thin air.

Well, that’s TLD for me. Off to TWM to lug a hammer.

BTW, I’ve found a hammer in ML before(not this game), as a random loot from a toolbox. But it’s mighty rare. Heavy hammers are useful as tools to open up fishing holes.

I have always found a hammer near the forge on FM. You might have to wander around the cabins nearby. It is sometimes on the ground around those cabins.

Look. just move to Costal Highway, you will find a hammer there in one of the buildings and check abandoned lookout at costal highway..ususly it is there..

I cleared CH in my last stalker run and didn't find one there anywhere, it's fine as I went DP after and found one in Hibernia as usual, as with people saying about ML it's pretty random.
