Kerosene from fishes?
Maybe the answer for this question is super easy but the thing is, why when a fish is cooked, kerosene is obtained?
Thank you

Lamp oil is the devs' concession to players having things like lanterns and crafting torches that used a lmited and irreplaceable resource, kerosene. By dev fiat, kerosene is now lamp oil and it can be harvested when cooking fish. Changes the economics of using lanterns by a huge amount.

In the game, things get glossed over, even with kerosene, but it is a game and it is for game-play purposes that strict adherence to how things really work is not followed.

Besides fish oil is high in omega-3 fatty acids, so I'm told by the tv commercials. :steammocking:

Oh, wait, the tv's don't work, they all seem to have broken picture tubes.

If you cook a fish you can seperate the oil and use it in (certain) lamps and traps irl. Trout is what my grandpa taught me to use if you're "making" fish oil for bait. That or catfish. The process is more delicate than roasting the fish over an open flame, but I can give a bit of leeway since its a game. The description for jerry cans and lamp oil could use a small update to not state that it contains kerosene. No real reason to make a seperate item for Fish Oil.

It's just a misnaming issue I think. They could have just called it biofuel or just what it is.Fish oil.So fish oil, kerosene, still just oil to burn.
