And some of us (<<< *points at self*) have become obsessive compulsive stick hoarding picker-uppers. xD
I never heard of such an obsessive behavior?? who would ever just collect sticks and stockpile hundreds of them in various locations all over CH and sneak around wolves just to gather more?? haha
What did you say that fir? I wooden have expected such words from you. I'm stumped as to why yew are sticking it to me! :O
*wink*
It seems as though this thread is branching out into unintended territory. It would be nice if we could stick to the point. (hehe)
My good friends above are correct to say that sticks are plentiful and free. On the other hand, the hatchet has very little use other than to chop firewood. The knife is a better weapon, the prybar is better at opening ice fishing holes, and the hacksaw is better at harvesting frozen meat.
So if you are warm enough, and have the calories to spare, by all means feel free to chops some real firewood.
Otherwise you'll end up like @IFIYGD, running around in the woods shreiking "Sticks, must have sticks!" while making awful puns.
And they wonder why wolves attack them.

What's that growling sound?

Lol! Well played. ;)
