How to get unstuck?
Where you get to the bridge, i was jumping down to the frozen river below, and i got stuck between a tree and a rock and for some reason there is no jumping. How can i get out without loosing progress?

If you can, place a bedroll outside of where you are stuck. When you use it to pass time or sleep for 1 hour, you will always exit it, with the bedroll directly in front of you. So... you need to be able to place it in an area and leave enough room for the toon to be able to get out of it outside of the stuck area. But be careful... sleeping will save the game and you may find yourself in a loop.

If you haven;t saved by sleeping, getting an injury of affliction... quit w/o saving. You will lose some progress and have to redo it, but you won't be stuck, and you'll know what not to do when you restart that area again.

I tried this once and lost my progress because of it. in my situation, that was the worst idea I had.

Sometimes you can fiddle with crouch key, lower yourself, then release crouch. As your character is in the process of standing up again (and the camera wooshes upwards) take advantage of that "speed" and try to move. Its a long shot, but you might be able to nudge yourself to freedom, slowly, and painstakingly. Repeat as needed. Also consider trying to sidestep/strafe which seems to make you "smaller" if your trying to nudge yourself into small cracks. Maybe smaller is a bad word to describe it, but sometimes it allows you to squeeze further through a tiny space. Or in your case possible squeeze out of something towards freedom. lol

Bedroll sleep 1 hour, if still stuck restart game. Try crouching and standing and sprinting. Ive been there before but have gotten out eventually. Usually bedroll save and restart.

If you attempt IFIYGD's bedroll trick, make a backup of your save game first. On Windows it'll be in C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Hinterland\TheLongDark\. If you miss and find yourself permanently stuck, quit the game and restore from your backup. You will have lost your progress since the last save, but at least you haven't lost the entire playthrough.

No need. If you reach out to us and include your Save File we'll bump you out of there:
